Osmotic Membrane Bioreactor

A hybrid biological-physical treatment process that has been gaining interest for wastewater treatment and water reuse. The OsMBR couples semi-permeable forward osmosis (FO) membranes for physiochemical separation with biological activated sludge process for organic matter and nutrient removal.
